Above left: First mock up of the thrones for scale and silhouette. Middle: Steel structures together. Right: Final prop with troughs for flags. Seven in total were built out of 11 gauge 1"x2" steel tube. Each prop measured 5' to the base (where I am standing on the left) each base was 6' square, and the backs were 7' tall giving the overall prop a total height of over 13' with the crowns and wheel clearance.

The final set of the show all 7 thrones were lined up and the two on the ends had stairs that pulled out from the underside for the students to get onto the tops. The front stage the guitarist is on was also built by me to be a solo stage throughout the show and to raise for the final guitar solo. The smoke effect was achieved with a standard carbon dioxide fire extinguisher actuated by the student playing the left synth.
